Making WW bread in a bread machine
I got a bread machine for my birthday and I am excited about making bread for my family. So far all of the recipes I have found for wheat bread are half wheat flour/half white flour. Can I make 100% WW bread in my machine? If so, does anyone have a recipie?

Re: Making WW bread in a bread machine
I always make 100% WW bread in my machine. I found a few different recipes online. Here's one I use (with a few substitutions):
1-1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons water 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (I use olive oil or apple sauce) 2 teaspoons salt 1/3 cup packed brown sugar (I use honey or sucanant instead) 4-1/4 cups whole wheat flour 3 tablespoons nonfat dry milk 2 teaspoons active dry yeast Like I said, you can find a bunch of recipes if you do an Internet search

Re: Making WW bread in a bread machine
I put the water, oil and honey in first...then my four and everything else. You want to keep the salt away from the yeast because it can affect how much the bread rises.

Re: Making WW bread in a bread machine
Since I'm doing dairy free bread, can I just skip the dry milk? Or do you think something should be added in it's place?

Re: Making WW bread in a bread machine
HuggaBuggaMommy, I used your recipe and just left out the dry milk. I used hard red wheat flour and it came out great!

Re: Making WW bread in a bread machine
So you don't have to buy the breadmachine flour...just any kind you may like? Just got a hand me down breadmachine and want to give it a try with what I have on hand...
