I have. Bad habit of shoving things in drawers...surfaces will be clear but I have like seven junk drawers. I almost called them drunk drawers lol

Seven is low balling it btw.

It's like my executive function ends abruptly at "put all these mildly similar things in this drawer"

I am the opposite. I pull everything out to see what needs to be dealt with. Then I get overwhelmed seeing it all and do...NOTHING! Then DH puts it all back in the closets, drawers, hope chests, cabinets, etc. then I pull it all out to deal with it...lather, rinse, repeat. Insanity!!!

I dropped off two garbage bags at the Salvation Army.

One idea I love was from something I read somewhere called the black bag challenge. It was to fill one trash bag, every day, for 40 days. You can obviously donate the items vs. just tossing them but no matter what...they've gotta go!

So I have not come up with one plan to stick to but I have done a pretty consistent one bag a day for a week or two and it helps a ton.
You could even make it a grocery bag a day if you need to work in a smaller increment.

Sherri, you just made me laugh so hard! I have done the same thing. Take everything out, get the job started, get overwhelmed, and hubs puts it all back!

I have a box to mail off to a friend, a pile to go to good will. They need to get out of the house monday.

Did the big girl's closet- Everything is piled on their bed, then DH will put new shelves in the closet and I'll rethink everything we are keeping. Already got rid of a ton of stuff.

Started the nursery.

I'm just super excited that I'm making progress. I can NOT believe how much JUNK our house has accumulated. TONS went out today. TONS!!

My big girl's room is now completely decluttered and mostly organized. I need to peek under their bed and make sure it's clear, then I can cross it off my list.

It's the start of birthday party/holiday central, so I'm not doing much atm. But, we bought a new desk (to tear out the current built in and convert it into a laundry room (in about 900 years

). So, I have to move everything which will be a good chance to get rid of stuff!

Lately, each time I see this thread, I am reminded of some items that I need to try to sell online. I have joined several facebook online garage sale sites and I need to post a few things that I think will sell - I just have not gotten around to it yet. But, when I see this, at least it reminds me to stay on top of things. I have been quite busy lately, but do have more things I could get rid of.

...and the puzzles are done! I dusted the furniture that houses the puzzles and the area around it. A small section of my home is now a little more lovely than before.

The puzzles will go to the thrift store if my SIL (who has littles) isn't interested. A message has already been sent.

I cleaned out the shed yesterday. I think my neighbor's cat was using it for a litterbox.

Found a bunch of stuff to donate and throw away, but I ran out of time yesterday to actually do it.

I had a bin of toys I was gonna sell, but I felt bad...so I gave them to my mom for her office when my kids visit. Puzzles that I'm sick of picking up, battery toys that gma will love to listen to.
