I've had enough of this cold.

G and I have had a cold for a week now. I'm throwing all sorts of things at it but nothing's helping much. I don't think I've ever had a cold last this long! I'm only doing herbal/homeopathic/food-based typed stuff, but I don't think OTC would work even if I were ok with them. The main symptoms are nose congestion and post-nasal drip cough. A little bit of a sore throat. It's definitely not allergies. It's possible we could be getting a new virus with a weak immune system. Sometimes I have energy and feel ok other than my nose and sometimes I feel exhausted and miserable. I guess I mostly need prayers we kick this soon.

I'm trying to get over a five day sore throat and occasional cough. It stinks.

I'm on my 2nd horrifically (is that a word?) cold of the season. The last one was 3-4 weeks long with a persistent ear infection. I'm on day 9 now, and I gave it to the baby

I too did all the right things at onset: loaded up on vit. C & D, cut sugar, I'm already dairy, soy & GF, eating ferments and drinking kombucha. Didn't help.

Exactly all these things. I was sick most of the month of Dec. Z might have it first this go round but it lasted about 24 hours for him. And he had a runny nose for an afternoon over the weekend. I'm thinking it's because he's nursing. Maybe I should be putting my own milk up my nose.
