Probiotics with or separate from antibiotics?
Title says it all Would you take them together or a couple hours apart? I'm thinking spaced away so they both have the potency to do their job, but want to make sure I'm on the right track.

Re: Probiotics with or separate from antibiotics?
I have always done them at different times. Like if they take the antibiotic at 8 and 8 I might give the probiotic at 4.

Re: Probiotics with or separate from antibiotics?
I have always heard that it's best to space them halfway between each other for maximum effectiveness, but a pediatrician of ours once told me that they were sold together (like in the same pill/capsule) when she spent time in India.

Re: Probiotics with or separate from antibiotics?
I've always done similar to previous poster, probiotic halfway between antibiotic doses. And I try for kombucha and fermented foods also, if possible.

Re: Probiotics with or separate from antibiotics?
We've always been told to use pbx a minimum of two hours before or after an antibiotic.
We do lots of fermented foods when we need an antibiotic too Great excuse to buy bubbies
