Default Re: small holes in t-shirts

I think it was Charla who started a thread on this exact problem last year! I get the same tiny holes in the same place in my t shirts too, after about two years. Most of the ones I've noticed are from Lands End which I think of as good quality. I wear them often, don't wash them in loads with zippers, never dry them in the dryer for more than a few minutes, and often though not always wear aprons. I don't think they rub against the counter much, but I do often have a metal button about there on my jeans.

I've had the problem too--and like Betsy, mine is all family clothes (not just mine) and not from rubbing against a button. We put out traps for moths, two different kinds, and found nothing. Really frustrating. I also end up with random grease spots on clean clothes, too. Those tend to come out with Dawn...the holes, not so much

I did start a thread. I'll see if I can find it. I thought it was the cat, but I don't think so now. Now I'm going back to something catching on the kitchen counters although I haven't been able to locate it. Same small holes in nearly every shirt I own in the same location. Frustrating. I hope we can figure out a definitive answer. I'd certainly like to be able to wear some shirts for good that don't have holes in them without having to buy new ones frequently. An apron is a good idea. I'd be wearing it nearly all day long though.

Here is the thread. I truly do love ThreeKids theory on left-handed short people!

I had that happening but I knew the problem a bit of the cipboard underside of the counter top had a splinter that would catch the shirt. I pulled it out.

And for thw too hot for an apron I often will put on an apron instead of a shirt when cooking in tghe summer. I have a lovely one that covers me so I can answer the door or even step out side.

We had the EXACT same problem here for a while. Now it doesn't seem to be happening any more. I never could figure it out. interesting that it happens to other people
