Has anybody ever fermented nuts? My friend is researching dental (WAPF) healing and heard that fermenting nuts was the only way to make them good for you. I had never heard of that - only soaking.

What's the difference?

Equal amount minus a little. Honey is slightly sweeter than sugar.

Yes, I ferment nuts and legumes but it is different then fermenting vegetables. I put them in salt water and let them sit in my dehydrator at 95 degrees for several days.

cannot convince DH that naturally fed and raised animals are more nutritionally dense than Pharma-fed factory animals. Need academic resources. Grr.

As one with only an undergraduate degree in Chemistry and background in environmental chemistry, I feel for you (and him). I'd imagine it's very difficult for him to challenge what he "knows," has researched, and studied. My revelation occurred from comparing lab reports to food labels thinking "hmm, EPA says this shouldn't be in groundwater or soil or drinking water. Why is a similar compound in my food?"

I hope Lisa's contact is able to help.
