Default Could I add mashed squash to this soup? (need quick answer)

I'm just about to put this in the crock pot http://www.stacymakescents.com/crock...vegetable-soup I have a couple of cups of roasted squash left from a recipe I made last night, wondering if I could add it to this soup - would that taste okay? My family doesn't love squash do you think all the cheese, sausage, ect would cover the flavor enough?

I think it would work, but since the squash is already cooked, add it at the very end & taste as you go.

I would add it at the halfway mark...it will thicken it up.

What kind of squash? Butternut or acorn would taste better than yellow summer squash. I put those winter squash in any soup or chili.

Thanks, I omitted most of the milk and the flour and added the squash instead it was really good!
