Re: "10 things" support thread
Failed this weekend/this morning...but today is a new day, right?
I did some evening prep last night so baby's bottles and food were already made and packed. Need to do some laundry for me and the kids for the rest of the week and get my breakfast cooked and packed.

Re: "10 things" support thread
I'm doing it! Haha day 1 is going really well. I did
My evening prep last nite, went to bed with everything tidy, and woke up early to have my prayer time this morning. Our morning has gone more smoothly than we've had in months! I'm also on my 2nd load of laundry. This is such an improvement over the last little bit, i feel really good |

Re: "10 things" support thread
I baked muffins last night to make breakfast easier this morning.
I have an alarm on my phone that tells to to wrap up what I'm doing and head to bed. I'm going to set it for 15 minutes earlier each week until getting up at 7am doesn't become so hard. I'm also going to try to stop ignoring the 7am alarm.

Re: "10 things" support thread
I've been getting up earlier, and going to bed earlier ever since we started this thread. I had the dishes all taken care of before supper, if I feel decent soon, I'm going to go load it. I ran dipes in the wash today, I might run one more load of something. I have a load or two to fold that I didn't get to on Friday.

I need to wash clothes, it'll definitely get done tonight. I should also be able to do prep for my breakfast (W-F) tonight. Baby steps...

Re: "10 things" support thread
My husband doesn't seem able to keep up his end of the dishes. I leave the house for a few hours a week and he fills the sink instead of the dishwasher.
He also didn't fold his garage towels and put them away like I asked him to. I'll forgive him. |

Re: "10 things" support thread
My washer isn't broken, but is currently being used 24/7 for stripping every cloth diaper we own. I have to remember to sneak in a load of real clothes after this current batch is done rinsing for all eternity so we actually have something to wear.
I just packed away a bunch of dd's toys that had started to accumulate without a good place for them, which makes evening cleanup a whole lot easier. |

Re: "10 things" support thread
I didn't get up early today because the girls fought bedtime and then cuppycake was up in the middle of the night for several hours nursing.
I have done a load of laundry start to finish I did swish and swipe in the bathrooms. (both)!!! Overall doin pretty good.

Re: "10 things" support thread
I timed myself after my kids ate dinner.
Starting at 6pm, I washed half of the dishes, dried them and put them away. Even though it was only half, it was a lot since we didn't wash them from the night before Swept the den. Cleaned both bathrooms. Interrupted to clean up a potty accident from my 2yo. Put the boys to bed. Put in a load of diapers in the wash. It's now 7pm, so I managed to get all of that done in an hour. Regular laundry is inevitable, so I've stopped putting it on the to-do list. So all that's left are the rest of the dishes & the floors need to be mopped I'm going to go make some coffee.

Re: "10 things" support thread
I got it all whooped except these three:
got to bed early get up early pick up in the evening. I absolutely can not STAND to try to get up early. I find it depressing and scary. Going to bed early. We go to bed by 11pm at the latest. Some night it's 10pm. I think that is early enough. But, I still can't get out of bed before 8AM on a regular basis. Ugh, so I guess I need a lot of sleep??? (there is a lot that goes into this....I won't bore you all). I can't stand to Pick up and clean at night. We do teh dishes, but we absolutelyl do not pick up toys and stuff. I've been working all day so that stuff has to wait till the morning. I'm just DONE by the end of the day. So, can I say I'm 7 out of 10 and call it good?? Is that lame of me?? |

Re: "10 things" support thread
I've been trying really hard to at least have all the dishes done before bed and one complete load of laundry done.
The laundry thing has been sort of watershed moment for me. I used to always have 4+ loads of laundry going at once. One in the washer, one in the dryer, one needing to be folded, one needing to put away (sometimes more ). It meant that I was constantly surrounded by piles of laundry and stressed out. Since starting "10 things", I have begun to do ONE load start to finish every day. One load: washed, dried, folded and put away - and then, I'm done. I'm DONE with the laundry for the day. I don't think I've been able to say that I was done with the laundry since we stopped using a laundromat! It feel very good.

Re: "10 things" support thread
I'm behind. Today and yesterday I had to be at work for several hours worth of training, and it messed up my whole routine! I'll jump back on tomorrow. I have been getting up early and getting into bed at a good time -even if I'm not sleeping, it's good to be in bed and settled!
