We had "pit" beef (eye round roast slow grilled and sliced thin for sandwiches)

roasted rosemary potatoes
green beans with scallions
gluten free shoo-fly pie
gluten free blueberry crumb cake

It all was a hit with the dads (dh, dad and fil) and well worth the effort.

eventually blackberry, but i think we're all too stuffed tonight.

i made the mac and cheese using sharp tillamook cheddar - it had more than a hint of smokiness. very cheesy....
