how bad would it be....
C has always been an early riser. Sleeping in is 6-6:30. Lately he has been waking up at 4 or 4:30. DH is the only one who can get him back to sleep (I have to leave the room), and then he'll only sleep in bed with DH. BUT - DH can only doze after that, because C wiggles and needs to be patted every 5-10 minutes. DH has to get up to go to work at 5:15 five days a week anyway, so he really can't be waking up at 4. He's on vacation right now so I can let him sleep in after C ultimately gets up around 5:30 or 6, but my question is, would it be terrible to slip C some melatonin at 4 so that he'll go back to sleep and maybe stay in his own bed? Maybe after a few days/weeks of that, he'd get into a better routine?
To complicate matters further, we are nightweaning next week after we get back home... It doesn't matter if it's 6:30 or 10, he's still up at 4. Posted via Mobile Device |

I wouldn't give it at 4, maybe at bedtime.

I've been known to give teething tablets to help an early morning not be so early

that is so early. I've never used melatonin so I'm no help, I just feel for ya.

Re: how bad would it be....
It doesn't matter if we give it at bedtime or not... it's still 4am.
