It's pumpkin time!
I love adding pumpkin to foods in the fall! What are some of your favorite ways to use it? Here are some of mine...
Muffins and pancakes...add about 1/3 c. pumpkin purée and a generous amount of spices to your favorite recipes. Oatmeal...on the stove or in the slow cooker with steel cut oats overnight, add pumpkin and spices and a little brown sugar. Pumpkin bread Soup...I have a simple recipe that calls for a can of pumpkin...I'll be back to add it if anyone wants it. Coffee! Trader Joe's has Pumpkin Spice coffee out now! You could make your own by adding spices to your grounds.

Re: It's pumpkin time!
Pumpkin and leek soup is so good. I also love pancakes, I just use lots of pumpkin, eggs, a bit of coconut flour and spices. They are more crepe like depending on the mix but so tasty. Pumpkin pie too, of course!

Re: It's pumpkin time!
The one thing I want to say is that pumpkin pie is way too yummy to eat only once a year!!
Also pumpkin pie smoothies are excellent! Almond milk, pumpkin pie, and frozen banana is how I make mine.

Re: It's pumpkin time!
Pumpkin pie is fall breakfast food.
Someone here told me about a pumpkin bisque last year. Pumpkin, chicken broth, cream and cinnamon. Amazing. I started trying out fresh pumpkin instead of canned last year and now I shall never go back. Makes for a funny colored pumpkin pie (more tan than orange) but is so tasty. |

Re: It's pumpkin time!
Oh, thank you! We went to pick apples today and my ds decided he had to have this massive pumpkin! I made it clear that we had to cut it up and use it for food because it wouldn't llast.......and I have NEVER made anything with pumpkin before, so I'll be reading anxiously!

Re: It's pumpkin time!
I am hosting a luncheon today, and I made pumpkin cake with maple cinnamon cream cheese frosting
Pumpkin custards are big here I love pumpkin pie, but not crust, so it's a win/win. I made pumpkin granola the other day too. I put it in muffins, pancakes, waffles, whatever. |

It's pumpkin time!
A couple weeks ago, we made pumpkin muffins (with sprouted flour and egg free since DD is allergic) and pumpkin spice syrup (with real pumpkin) for coffees and teas.
It was yummy and now I want more, even though it is 80F here! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
