subbing for ideas--- as it gets hot, dh hates when the "house gets heated up" due to lots of oven usage........which can be a challenge. I mean, even my crockpot heats the house up some

Yesterday was ground beef with buttermilk gravy over diced potatoes
Today was spaghetti - doctored Ragu, ground beef, quinoa, black olives, and parmesan cheese. I was going to make salad with it but I haven't been to the store to get lettuce

I'm gonna cheat and list my lunch because it's fabulous.
Croissant with tuna salad, fresh fruit salad and caprese salad with balsamic reduction. Oh...and BBQ chips and a mini coke. Best part...eating alone while dh takes dd to the park!! |

"Fried" rice (really just rice cooked in rice cooker w/ steamed veggies added in )
Chicken....not sure if we'll make general tso's or sweet/sour (much more messy & involved). |

it was supposed to be fajitas, but I forgot and already used the bell peppers. So beef and broccoli. That goes with leftover coconut rice, right?

Last night was cooking-together-as-a-family night and we made lasagna, tossed salad, and fruit salad.
Tonight we are going to try Cynthia's (Maybe Gracie) idea of a movie night with the Lego movie, serving hotdogs, popcorn, rootbeer, and ice cream.
