We are doing leftovers— pizza, curry, fruit. Lol.
DH has started working until 6pm instead of getting home at 4:30... so it’s a lot harder for me too cook with the two littles Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: June 2020 dinners
Korean beef, jasmine rice, stir fry veggies (zucchini, red pepper, mushrooms, water chestnuts and bamboo shoots). It really hit the spot!

Re: June 2020 dinners
I made the curry up thread. . I left out the green chiles and was short on peppers. I roasted potatoes and added them to make it stick a bit longer. Also made jasmine rice. Waiting for mine to cool long enough to try.
Dh & ds2 say it is good. Sent from my LM-Q710(FGN) using Tapatalk

Re: June 2020 dinners
I made donair. This is the first time I’ve ever had it. The meat tastes just like a gyro so I Ike that but I can’t stand the sauce. As usual it was just me for dinner.

Re: June 2020 dinners
Salmon, Asparagus and rice.
Normally I do plain rice - is there anything super easy to add to the rice while using the rice cooker?

Re: June 2020 dinners
I've never used a rice cooker so these may or may not work: grated carrot, garlic, herbs, almonds, golden raisins, green onions, tomato or salsa, chicken or veggie broth instead of water, frozen peas or a combo of some of these. Or what about parmesan cheese stirred in at the end?

Re: June 2020 dinners
No idea for tonight.
Tomorrow dd's boyfriend will be here. Planning shredded beef sandwiches with mashed potatoes or hoagies, and salad. Might make dessert.

Almonds is a great idea. I have some slivered almonds from another recipe left. I wonder if it would be better to cook with the rice or just add at the end. I have raisins but not feeling that nor feeling like salsa/tomato with the fish dish. No green onions on hand. I do have parm cheese on hand. Or rather a 3 cheese mix. But thinking more . . . I dont know. Not cheese flavored though. Tell me what to add to my rice but Im looking for a very specific something I am craving, but I am not going to tell you what it is ( mostly bc I dont know not bc Im *trying* to be difficult).

Re: June 2020 dinners
Depending on how you're seasoning the salmon, I'd say add a little dill and maybe sub chicken broth for some of the water for the rice. Or parsley. Lemon zest (in the rice) would go nicely with the salmon and asparagus, too.
We're having fish Po'Boys for dinner.

Re: June 2020 dinners
Stir in a whole lot of butter after it cooks! I like the idea of seasoning with dill to go with salmon and asparagus

Re: June 2020 dinners
Mushrooms would be good in the rice with almonds with some butter. But I also love the dill and lemon idea.
