Default Knitting soakers

I'm knitting some wool soakers for the first time and would love to hear about anyone's favorite pattern, yarn, lanolin, etc. who has also knit some. I'm starting with the Curly Purly pattern on Ravely with Lion Brand fisherman yarn. So far they are really sweet!

I like the curly purly waistband with the spare ribs soaker body, and long legs. I like the Fishermans wool, but for newborns malabrigo is my favorite--so soft! It does get kind of pilly on a baby that is moving around.

I saw that one. Do they really work as well as a disana?

Mellifera, I googled that yarn and it looks wonderful! Thank you for your recommendation.
