UK stockists?
I've just been reading the list of things to have on hand for cold/flu season - can anyone recommend a UK stockist for them? I'm interested in thieves oil, vitamin d, rosehip syrup, was it elderflower syrup too? I know I can just google but I'd prefer to go for somewhere that's been recommended.

Re: UK stockists?
Thieves oil is cheaper if you buy the various oils and make it up yourself. Otherwise your stuck with importing it. I'm getting mine from summernaturals.co.uk this year, including the little bottles to make it up with. I know you have your hands full with the kids, so if this sounds like too much work I'd be happy to post you a bottle of ours when I've mixed it up? I have enough to make several 5ml bottles so I'll be able to spare some.
Vitamin D holland and barratt do drops, not specifically for the kids but the adult ones are fine. They're all natural ingredients and can be hidden in food. They are orange flavoured if your kids will just take them straight. http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/sho...?c=Vitamin%20D It comes on the penny sale every so often. Elderberry syrup is awesome for colds, but ridiculously expensive. I paid £11 a bottle for ours last year. This year I made a big batch of my own with elderberries I found in the park and a jar of honey for £1.25 from Sainsburys. It was really quick and easy, quicker than going out to the shop to buy it Not sure about rosehip syrup, but I know my friend makes her own. I've never noticed it for sale anywhere. |

Re: UK stockists?
Thank you! I didn't even think of Holland and Barrett but I can easily look there. I'll take a look at the other website and see if I can manage it! It's very kind of you to offer me some if not If elderberry syrup is as easy as you say then I could probably manage that There are certainly plenty of elderberries around!

Re: UK stockists?
This is the syrup recipe I use.
Boil, mash, squeeze, stir. http://www.learningherbs.com/herbal_cold_remedies.html Thieves oil recipe in various measurements - drops, teaspoons etc http://www.natural-aromatherapy-bene...oilrecipe.html The shipping on Summer naturals is quite pricy (£6.99) but they have so much useful stuff on there that I just do a big bulk order every so often. They do bulk amounts of things like epsom salts, bicarb, coconut oil, they do the more common essential oils in bigger bottles (up to 200ml) |
