Re: INSTANT POT owners!
So I'm selling off kitchen stuff I don't use with the idea of getting an instant pot once I make enough money (you all convinced me). There are different ones though. Which should I save for? The most expensive is the Bluetooth model that you can write scripts for. It sounds awesome but it is very expensive. Which model do you all have? Would it be worth saving longer to get the Bluetooth model?

Re: INSTANT POT owners!
I personally see no benefit of the bluetooth one but maybe if you're in to that sort of techy stuff.
The biggest differences are either choosing the 5 qt or the 6 qt, and either the 7 in 1 or the 6 in 1. The difference between the 7in1 and the 6in1 is that the 7th function is the yogurt maker. The 7in1 is also the updated model to the 6in1 so there are a few other small changes, but nothing to justify the added cost (apart from the yogurt function). So the first thing you need to decide is whether that function is valuable and useful to you. As for the 5qt vs. the 6qt I read around and I am hearing lots of reviews that you definitely want the 6. The one that I am using (borrowed to test out) is the 6qt 7in1. I really like it. I like the yogurt function and my family eats lots of yogurt, so I decided that it's worth it for me. So that's the one that I am planning to purchase. I'm now just watching for a good sale.

Re: INSTANT POT owners!
I have used mine as a yogurt maker. I was glad to have the option.

Re: INSTANT POT owners!
How does the yogurt function work? Do you out jars in it or just one big batch of yogurt?

Re: INSTANT POT owners!
You all have me convinced. I finally sold off enough of our clutter yesterday that I'll be ordering one today! Thank you ladies for sharing about this and to 2sunshines for starting this thread!

Re: INSTANT POT owners!
We're having rain, rain, and more rain.
I've made soup this week. Pour broth in pot. Turn on warm or saute. Add veggies as they are chopped. Add frozen, cooked meat. Turn on IP for 5 minutes. Done!!! Maybe takes 7 minutes total because the liquid is already hot. Took me about 15 minutes to chop all the veggies. Delicious soup!

Re: INSTANT POT owners!
I read lots of reviews to decide which model to get. The Bluetooth model is pretty pointless, imo. I don't need to turn my Instant Pot on from another room. And if you're changing settings, it's usually because you're adding ingredients.

Re: INSTANT POT owners!
I used my borrowed instant pot in every way I could imagine. Giving it a good run for the money.
I still love it. Let me know where you find the best deal on one! I am definitely going to buy one, I just am holding out for a good price.

Re: INSTANT POT owners!
Amazon warehouse deals! They had the Bluetooth model as for $140 because the outside was scratched up. They have other models cheaper too. Which one are you hoping to buy?

Re: INSTANT POT owners!
Thanks. My friend bought it through amazon around the holidays for $89 so I am watching and waiting (trying to be patient!) For it to go low again...

Re: INSTANT POT owners!
It was on sale at Amazon not that long ago. The Instant Pot Facebook group will announce Amazon sales.
