Default Re: Charlotte Mason?

We are using AO, and following as best I can! Dd1 just finished year 1 and is starting year 2. Dd2 is in kindergarten, and I am doing the riches (nature study, artist study, composer study, nature journal, folk song, hymn, handicrafts, drawing, painting, all to her interest) with her as well as a little handwriting (to her interest), learning to read (to her interest), and math (Singapore 1B, to her interest). I also have one story picked out per day, again, to her interest. We have the Brer Rabbit stories, fables, mother goose poems, and other things she likes. No narration required because she is only five. She is a bit ahead in math...

We do school for about 2.5 hours every morning. Some days dd2 is more interested than others. If she wants to go play and wait until we are doing something she likes (math), then that is fine. Dd1 isn't always thrilled, but she does like her freedom the rest of the day
