Re: July Dinners - What are you cooking?
I need to be more proactive with meal planning during these hot hot hot days because most of my meals are oven based which I try to keep turned OFF.
Yesterday we grilled out -- burgers and salmon on the grill. Cauliflower in the steamer and then I made a homemade cheese sauce to put on the cauliflower. Cheesecake in the IP for dessert.

Re: July Dinners - What are you cooking?
I'm making one of my kids' favorite soups (we always have soup on Saturdays with leftovers for Sunday noon). I haven't made it in ages because I hadn't thought about trying to make it gluten free. It's Rachael Ray's Chicken Mug Pie and dd is making these gluten free biscuits. Here's hoping it turns out!

Re: July Dinners - What are you cooking?
Last night we had nachos made with leftover fajita beef.
Tonight is leftover casserole, chef salad and hot dogs. It's a weird combo of using stuff up lol. But yay for not wasting food!

We did breakfast foods. DD is devouring eggs lately, and I can cook them without vomiting.
Pancakes, fresh plums, sliced apples, and scrambled eggs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: July Dinners - What are you cooking?
simple poolside cookout by the pool today (mil's pool). Kids invited a few friends over for a day of swimming. We bbq'd hot dogs and burgers. Cut watermelon and had frozen blueberries. Ice cream for dessert.

I made a quick Thai green curry with chicken and green beans, with loads of other veggies on the side to mix in (primarily for dh and me.) It's going to be super hot this week and I want to keep my oven off if at all possible. Tomorrow night we'll have a Muffaletta and a salad. Not sure after that.

Re: July Dinners - What are you cooking?
Tonight, we had quinoa chili with red beans from an old LLL cookbook.
I've had an awful headache/migraine the last two nights before, so I did not cook. I think the kids made themselves ramen last night and the night before they made pasta with jarred pasta sauce and salad (romaine with bottled Caesar dressing). I honestly can't remember what I made on Friday. Tomorrow is Chick-fil-a Cow appreciation day, so Chick-fil-a for dinner. Yay!
