Schmamy- no, different types of yeast. And you just soak the cashews in plain water. |

Re: 100% RAW "Better Than Cheeze-It" cracker recipe
Do they have to be raw cashews? Cause I just went searching for cashews and they said raw cashews usually aren't really raw and this place wanted $13 for one pound of real raw cashews.

Re: 100% RAW "Better Than Cheeze-It" cracker recipe
I never waste the money on the *really* raw ones you have to buy online. I've read conflicting studies, most which say that the ones marked raw really *are* still raw becuase even though they heat the nuts in the shell to help get them out easier the internal temperature of the nut doesn't go above 115degrees. I haven't had any problems with them so far.

We made these! They were super! I do not have the excaliber, so they did take 36 hours in my Nesco dehydrater..

My girls loved them. Next time I am going to try to spread it on Nori sheets and dehydrate it that way.

Re: 100% RAW "Better Than Cheeze-It" cracker recipe
These are so delicious! I tripled the recipe. I tried them for the first time last week and they only lasted 2 days. Even my DH thought they were tasty. He thinks I am a bit crazy to want to be a raw foodie. I saved some of the mixture and mixed it together with some kale and made cheesy kale chips. One word. YUM! Definitely a keeper. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Re: 100% RAW "Better Than Cheeze-It" cracker recipe
I've seen tahini in the organic section of my grocery store where the PB is. Also at the healthfood store.
About how much does this make? How thick do you spread it on the dehydrator?

Re: 100% RAW "Better Than Cheeze-It" cracker recipe
I spread it between 1/8" and 1/4" thick. It usually covers between 2 and 4 dehydrator sheets.

Re: 100% RAW "Better Than Cheeze-It" cracker recipe
I doubled the recipe to use the entire bell pepper and it covered all 5 of the trays for my dehydrator. I covered them in parchment and it took probaby near 12 hours with my little sunbeam. SO SO SO YUMMY!!! I was scraping out the blender and eating the leftovers with crackers. I'm thinking this concoction would make a LOVELY mac & cheese!
