Birkenstocks
I haven't had a pair since high school, but we are traveling this summer so I need a good pair of shoes. If only have a week and a half to break them in, do you think they'd be a good choice for a traveling/walking shoe? I'm not sure how much time they need to be broken in.

Re: Birkenstocks
I live in Birks.
If you get sandals, IMO, they don't need to be broken in. I recently bought the Iona (Mary Jane) because I needed a closed toe. Those definitely needed breaking in -- took me 3 days of wearing. Then they were fine. I only wear birks when going to museums, theme parks, etc because I can walk all day with zero soreness...including our 13 hour day at Disneyland. Keep them out of water though.
