World Aids Day!!!
Theme this year is communities make the difference. I thought I would share in one of my favorite communities. Any questions about HIV? Anyone posting support on social media? I’d love to hear what you are doing!

Re: World Aids Day!!!
I appreciate your yearly reminder.
You're one of two families I know who is passionate about this. The other family is a single man. Friend's brother. I didn't see his posts, of he talks about it at all.

I love that you do this. Pretty much everything I know about HIV I have learned from adoptive moms who write about their experiences and myths vs. truths.

Re: World Aids Day!!!
Since I work with the LGBTQ+ community, this is a passion of mine. One of my very good friend's son is positive, as well as several friends. One of my friends has lived with HIV over 30 years! Praise God for all the medical advancements.
I have a lot of questions. I wish this were not in a public forum, though. What would you say is the greatest need for people with HIV/AIDS today? Compared to perhaps 20 years ago?

Re: World Aids Day!!!
I’d say the greatest need is for acceptance and understanding. There are so many false beliefs and stigma still.

Re: World Aids Day!!!
I love that you keep us informed, as well. I don't know anyone IRL with HIV. But I do pray for those that have it and those that are caregivers and researchers.
I know I have questions but I can't think of them at the moment. |
