Default Trying to figure out what might be causing my 9 year old's vomiting

She throws up not too terribly often but I can't keep track well in my head. So last time I wrote down the date and what she had for supper. That was 10 days ago and she threw up tonight. Before that I think it was 3 weeks or so.

10 days ago for supper she had one bite of collard greens, some rice medley, and some Kroger rotisserie chicken. She threw up at 11pm or so.

Tonight she just had maybe half a piece of fish stick. She didn't want the asparagus or the corn on the cob.

For lunch she had a PBJ sandwhich on whole wheat bread and apple and a few Cheetos natural puffs. She's had all that lots. She had just a little bit of Doritos in the early afternoon, she's had that before too.

She's also had fish sticks too, maybe not Aldi brand though.

Last month I began giving her Animal Parade probiotics.

If needed, next I will start keeping a food log of everything she eats.

Any other ideas of what to watch for?

Is it just the one time? Or does she throw up multiple times? Is it the same time amount of time after dinner or the same time at night? Just looking for any patterns in addition to food.

Could she be constipated?

When she throws up, is it just a one time random thing then she's fine?

Could it simply be sitting in her stomach wrong? Something like a gas bubble???

Last night it was the one time. That was about 2 hours after supper, but she apparently already didn't feel well because she only ate half a fish stick filet and didn't want corn on the cob, which she likes. This morning she was a bit off at first then okay.

On the 5th it was about 11:30 pm, about 4-5 hours after supper. Just one time throw up. I think morning was the same, a little yucky then fine by mid day.

When she vomits, how digested is her food? I ask because my ds used to vomit occasionally in the morning, and you could clearly tell what he had eaten for dinner the night before. We did a gut healing diet but a huge part of that was promoting acid with sours and hcl. He had been on pepcid for hives which only made the problem worse.

I don't think so. I'll ask about her #2 habits.

Digested enough that I don't want to look at it. Of course that first night that I wrote down the date she had mostly had chicken and rice.

I'm not overly concerned at this point, but did decide it's time to write it down to look for a pattern.
