chiro-flow. water-filled pillow.

http://www.chiroflow.com/en/index.html

I've had mine for about six years or so. I LOVE it. I take it with me everywhere. Got it from my old chiropractor - my new one sells them, too. My neck is a mess and tends to get jacked up occasionally, and I'm convinced a bad pillow can trigger that. I still have flare-ups now and then, but I do think this pillow helps.

But also...the chiro would say stomach sleeping is a big no-no for your spine anyway

oops - I missed your statement in the OP about being unable to have water-filled pillows. why is that, though?

I had a water pillow and slept on it two nights and was in some of the worst pain of my entire life. I couldn't turn my head for several days. I've had actual nightmares about having to use that pillow again. DH tried it for two nights too and had severe problems that he still doesn't think are cleared up eight months later.

oh my. that sounds awful. I know the *amount* of water can and should be adjusted to what's comfortable for each individual...but I can see how after that experience, neither of you would want to experiment with the "right" amount. oy. good luck with your pillow hunt...

Sorry you're having such a hard time. How frustrating to have to keep buying pillow after pillow.
I agree. DH and I both have Tempur-pedic pillows, but he has a larger one. He won't sleep on mine, and I won't sleep with his.

That's what I do - a fluffy one with a quilted pillow case/sham on top of my Tempur-pedic. Honestly, I think the pillowcase makes a real difference.

I feel ya. Dh and I bought these fab double chambered down pillows (one chamber inside the other). They were $60 pillows on sale for $30 each - keep in mind, this was 12 years ago. They are still pretty decent. Dh went through a phase though where he was convinced there had to be a better pillow out there. Three pillows and $100+ later, he gave up and went back to his old feathered pillow.

I have a latex pillow I have loved for years. I used to be so mad at my pillows. I would toss, turn, twist and fluff until I finally went to sleep. It all ended the year I found a latex pillow! They will last years and are great for allergies.

We've had good luck with the Ralph Lauren pillows and with Shopko brand ones. We replace them every year or two.
