Re: August Dinners
Slow cooker whole chicken with potatoes, carrots, celery and onion; green beans, spinach strawberry salad, and I might make some gravy from the chicken broth.

Re: August Dinners
We had our church home groups over last night so we had tacos and I made barbacoa beef in the crockpot with a tri tip, and a Qdoba copycat chicken.

Re: August Dinners
Okay, finally trying to get back into menu planning with the craziness of summer. Celebrated DS's first day of high school last night with surf and turf (steak, salmon & shrimp) with prosciutto wrapped asparagus.
Tonight is copycat Cheesecake factory avocado egg rolls and an Asian salad.

Re: August Dinners
I'm planning this for tonight (without the chilli, or dd1 won't eat it) - https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/...cken-rice-peas I've made it once before and remember it being an easy but tasty recipe, so hopefully it will be!

Re: August Dinners
I've been meal planning 3-4 days at atime. It's less overwhelming.
Tonight is Greek burgers and salad with cookies & ice cream for dessert. My firstborn is 18 today. Her young man is taking her on their first official date and then joining us for dinner.

Re: August Dinners
Last night we had a tomato cream pasta with zucchini, capers and kalamata olives and a Greek salad.
Tonight I'm planning fish florentine with rice and asparagus.
