Re: February dinners
I am at a soccer tourney with 1 of my dc so no cooking for me this weekend. What do you do in a dark hotel room so ds can sleep in but you are wide awake bc its way past wake up time - GCM! Ill have to menu plan and grocery shop when I get home. I need to try that egg roll in a bowl.

Re: February dinners
Knitlove, I can't remember if you are gluten free. I thought you'd given me gf recipes before. If so are your biscuits and gravy gluten free by chance? I'd love a good recipe for gf biscuits and gravy.
Tonight is navy bean and bacon soup with gf focaccia.

After connecting dh's we visit two week ago to gluten crumbs that I let in the house we are back to it can't come in to the house at all. The biscuits are from Silvania's kitchen that I have altered a bit. 284g flour mixture ( mine is now millet, sorgam, tapioca starch, potato starch, and xantham gun) but any of them should work. 2T baking Powder 0.5 t salt 4t surger 48g shortening 3/4c coconut milk ( but you could use any) 1T honey. Mix dry ingredients and wet seperatly. Cut in the shorting to the dry and then mix together. Pat it out onna surface to a rough square. Cut this in forths and stack them on top and repeat at least 4 times to help laminate in the shortning. Cut and then brush with egg ( I think the only purpose of this step is to help them brown, I have made them with out the egg wash and they are fine). Bake for 8 to 10 min at 450 My sausage gravy is exsactly the one I used with gluten I just use my flour mixture. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

Re: February dinners
It's Sunday, Homemade Pizza Night! Actually, I think DH wants to make calzones; he was talking about steak and (gorgonzola) cheese earlier. I think I'm going to make a cauliflower crust/"breadsticks".

Smoked chicken, potatoes with peppers, onions, bacon, and cheese, pinto beans, salad. Leftover birthday cake.
Dh also made some homemade corn dogs this afternoon. I think corn dogs are nasty, but these were really good! Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk

Re: February dinners
Tonight is MAKE your OWN pizza.
I need to grocery shop tonight, so I am buying the ingredients for egg roll in a bowl. I don't know which day I will make it yet. I am excited though! Kids love all Asian style foods and easy to make both meat and no meat versions.

Re: February dinners
Egg roll in a bowl goes over well here and it's soooo easy. I hope you like it. (It's on the menu plan for some time this week.)
Littlest has declared Tuesdays to be Hot Mashed Potato Day. So tonight we're having Turkey sausages, mashed potatoes, and roasted broccoli.

Re: February dinners
I did egg roll bowls yesterday. My children acted like it was poison. Early bird chose to not eat anything rather than sit down at the table with it and have a conversation about getting something else to eat.
