Lentil recipes?

What are your favorite meals / recipes using lentils? I honestly love lentils but only have two recipes for them and need to start incorporating them more! Such a cheap, easy, filling, and healthy protein...I want to use it more often!

I love this recipe, but I haven't made it for quite some time because my kids aren't fond of lentils.

I make lentil taco filling a lot (you can find a billion recipes online), with green lentils. I also use red lentils for sauces.

I have a couple different lentil curry recipes, they're in the kitchen and I'm lazy. If you google for lentil curry you'll find a wide variety.

I also often replace ground beef with lentils in recipes that are basically using the ground beef to add "bulk".

Oh, and persian lentil stew http://www.thenourishinggourmet.com/...ntil-soup.html I don't bother to pre-soak the lentils.

Trader Joe's introduced me to the yummiest dip using lentils! It is seriously so amazing

. All it is, is a package of their steamed lentils, a container of their fresh bruschetta, and a container of feta cheese. Not sure if you have a Trader Joe's near you, but if not you could substitute things. I eat it as my lunch with crackers all the time.

From Amy Dacyczyn's Tightwad Gazette:

3/4 c. lentils
1/2 c. brown rice
1/2 tsp basil
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp garlic powder
3 c. water

We add about a tsp of salt but we like things salty. You could do less.

put in crock pot on high for about 4 hours. Easiest dinner ever! Those who eat dairy in my family love it with cheese. Back when I could eat stuff, my very favorite way to eat this was with cheese, in a taco shell, wrapped in a giant burrito shell- yum!!

Too funny! I wasn't there that day, but at a homeschool group potluck, someone brought this & it was the absolute hit of the day. I still haven't tried it, but to hear my friends talk, it's the most amazing thing ever.
