Bathroom floor? Tile? Laminate?
What do you like? I like both.
We are going to replace our toilet and floor in the hall/kids bathroom soon.

Re: Bathroom floor? Tile? Laminate?
We put ceramic tiles in both our bathrooms and I love them.

Re: Bathroom floor? Tile? Laminate?
Tile with under floor heating if possible. That's the new trend.

Re: Bathroom floor? Tile? Laminate?
I like tile in a bathroom too. We live in SC so no need for heating the floor.
Have to see if dh is up for tiling that bathroom. He and his dad tiled our bathroom in another house 10 or so years ago. If we did laminate we'd have it installed. The bathroom is not that big. I'll have to measure, I'm guessing aprox. 20 SF

Re: Bathroom floor? Tile? Laminate?
Laminate + water isn't a great combination- especially with kids who tend to be messy with water. I'd go with tile. if ceramic is too much work (some times ceramic means you need new sub floor/cement board which adds a whole layer of cost and work). They make some great ceramica options that are hardcore vinyl tiles that look and feel (texture and touch) like ceramic tile. They are about as thick but not nearly as heavy and hard to install. There are groutable options (use a silicone based grout) and they install with a peel and stick method. Much less mess than ceramic.
Obviously for resale value ceramic is the way to go.

Re: Bathroom floor? Tile? Laminate?
I love the rectangular plank style porcelain tiles that look like "wood" for the bathroom/laundry room/kitchen areas. Here is a an image of one example spoiled for size:

Re: Bathroom floor? Tile? Laminate?
That wood like tile is cool.
---------- Post added at 01:44 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:40 AM ---------- The reason why we are the best renters ever! We've been renting this house for 3.5 years. May or may not buy it one day but we treat it like our own. The seal needs replacing on the hall bathroom toilet, if this were our house we'd put in a new toilet that uses less water and whos tank does not lean against the wall like it is not supposed to. I asked the owner if he'd reimburse us for a new toilet and why not a new floor while the toilet is out and he said yes! He'll pay for materials. Yay!
