Drying peaches
I see this isn't a really active forum, lets hope I get some responses!
I have about 20 lbs of peaches coming next week. My plan is to slice and freeze some of them, but then I thought about it, and I'm planning on borrowing the IL's dehydrator to do some of my tomatoes in and I thought it might be interesting to dry some of the peaches as well. Has anyone done this? Any tips? How do you store them after they are dried and how long do they typically last? |

Re: Drying peaches
i just did some last month and we gobbled them up so i can't say about storage i did find that firmer peaches produced a better dried result. i also made some yummy fruit leather with them (but you need the special trays)

Umm. Yeah. After dh got his hands on them storage was not a problem. They were pretty good, guess I can't blame him.
