Default Hate when I do dumb things, almost drove into a ditch!

Two nights ago when leaving a friend's driveway in the dark I went on the corner of the ditch and felt a big bump as my van's front right bumper bumped the ground. Ugh! Forgot about it. But today realized the bumper was off a little. Another friend hit back in with his hand.

Told dh about it and he went out ahead of me to look at it and he saw the plastic grill cover is loose. I pushed out 2 or 3 plastic pins. ggrrr! Seems to be on snug enough with the hood closed.

If I bump anything else my bumper will probably crack! I should drive better and why is the Honda Odyssey so low anyway!?

I want this van to last me 2 more years, at least. It's a 2007

That would be so frustrating. We are hoping our Chrysler Town and country will last another 5 years. It's a 2010. Thankfully it's not too low. But I'm a very very very careful driver. We can't afford tickets or anything, it's will set us back so far in our finances, so I'm really paranoid I'm my driving.

Yes, it is frustrating. I feel like I am a careful driver. Try to never go more than 4pmh over, keep my distance from cars in front of me, etc.

Many months ago I pulled half pulled the bumper off on one of those cement bars in front of parking spots. It was a higher older one and once I went too far I had to pull back. Drove straight to the auto body shop that day and they put it back on easy.

Guess I just need a higher vehicle next.

Oh thank you! I'm not alone! We both need a higher 4x4 I guess.

I have always driven tiny things low to the ground. My cars have been a Honda del soul, a Honda Civic and now a Ford Transit Connect ( that has the same clearance as a Ford focus). Honistly my little two seater convertible del soul had the highest clearence of anything I have driven.

That is why I donít have a van because I would probably ruin it. I am very bad at driving too. I have a 4 wheel drive Blazer because it can handle all my mistakes I make.
