Re: Ipad or Kindle Fire?
You can do all that with the kindle fire, but I think the Ipad is more user friendly. I am over all pleased with my fire but I am annoyed with:
1) The lack of customization. I'd like to customize my home screen. 2) The fact that there is no battery indicator unless you unlock the home screen. I want to be able to see battery life just by switching on the button. 3) Battery life. I think it dies quicker and takes longer to charge than apple products. 4) The keyboard is awkward. I'm frequently.typing.like.this.thinking.I'm.hiting.th e.space.button. When in fact I keep hitting the period. Drives me nuts. If I had unlimited money. I'd buy a run of the mill kindle for books then get a ipad for the fun stuff. I thought I'd be all about magazines on my kindle and I'm really not, which is primarily why I wanted the color, as well as for web browsing. I use it mostly for reading though. I prefer getting my books thru amazon. Also with the Ipad you can do movies and such.

Re: Ipad or Kindle Fire?
I have the Fire, but I don't think you can really compare the 2. Hold on let me see if I can find a link.

Re: Ipad or Kindle Fire?
Ohhhh, I'm glad you mentioned the magazines heather. that was one of things I wanted a Fire for but wasn't sure if I really would like that.

Re: Ipad or Kindle Fire?
The good thing is they are required to give you three months free on mag subs. I downloaded Backwoods Home (sooooo excited to see that) and it was really okay. I was super exicted to see National Geographic but the reviews weren't so great. I didn't download it. So it seems that sometimes the transfer isn't the greatest or there are things missing or just not the same for some magazines.
