where do you store your VitaMix tamper?

I've been tossing the tamper on the shelf next to the VitaMix but I don't feel that keeps it clean. Not that my shelves are dirty, but then I feel like I have to wash or rinse it off before using it. I don't have tons of space either . . .

I rest mine in the overturned lid of the canister.

Mine is in a drawer because I hardly use it. I usually just stop it and add more liquid or scrape with a spatula. The tamper gives me the Heebie Jeebies. I might also be afraid of the garbage disposal

Thank you for giving me a complex about the dirtiness of mine. It lives on the counter behind the bread machine. I don't use it much.

My VitaMix lives on the counter. I keep the tamper in the VitaMix itself and the lid, also. I don't use the tamper hardly ever, either.
