Re: Hurricane Irma
Our house we just closed on 2 weeks ago is flooding. When we left this afternoon, both the front and back yards were lakes, and it was only a matter of time before the house was getting it. We will go back tomorrow to assess the damage. Thankful we have flood insurance.

Re: Hurricane Irma
I completely forgot that my aunt, uncle and cousins are on holiday in Florida right now. My cousin was posting videos from their balcony of the winds.

Re: Hurricane Irma
Dh just got to our house and the water didn't get in! The lakes in the front and back yards have receded too. So thankful.

Re: Hurricane Irma
I got home yesterday. No damage to our house and we have power! That's amazing considering 1/3 of my county was still without power yesterday. So thankful that we were spared and praying for those who weren't so lucky

Re: Hurricane Irma
Our power came back really fast - only about 4 hours! There are still many without power in my city, which is amazing considering how far from Florida we are. We got about 26 hours of high winds and some rain. Lots of trees down.
My parents in Florida fared well - no lost power (their utility lines are buried), branches down but no real damage to the house. They lost all the screens on their porch though, and the porch door was blown the opposite direction. Sounds like it twisted the hinge making it not fixable. Hopefully that isn't too expensive to replace. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

Re: Hurricane Irma
We went two full days without power here in southern North Carolina. We got some rain and wind from Irma, but I was very surprised when I heard it had taken down some trees that hit power lines.

Re: Hurricane Irma
Wow!!
We are driving sough now. We'll stop in Savannah, GA tonight. Traffic is a nightmare, and we've run into one road closure already. Gas hasn't been a problem so far. We don't go less than 1/2 tank. Tomorrow we will make the drive into Orlando, and that will be an awful drive too.
