Re: July Main Meals
Yesterday was chicken/rice/green beans with Mexican seasonings (onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder, cumin, Celtic sea salt, and freshly ground pepper)
Our other meal yesterday was tarragon chicken salad with crackers. Homemade chocolate chip buttermilk waffles for dessert

Re: July Main Meals
Ooh, I will join in. I'm always on the lookout for healthy, inexpensive meal ideas!
My son is eating at vbs this week so my husband and I had a pork loin roast that had a lemon-pepper seasoning on it. We had sautéed mushrooms and spinach with it. My husband had a whole wheat dinner roll as well. I have to forgo starches during my pregnancy so I made a batch for him to heat with dinner! Tonight I think we will eat the leftover pork with some rainbow chard.

We're having skillet cheeseburger macaroni tonight. Not sure what I'll serve with it yet.

Probably grilled chicken sausage and sauerkraut. Green salad with blue cheese and walnuts.

Re: July Main Meals
Today is our tenth anniversary We're taking a big trip in September to celebrate, so no big date tonight, just eating at home--but splurging on fancy dinner. Grilled steaks, baked sweet potatoes, roasted broccoli, and blackberry cobbler. I was going to also make salads with blackberries and goat cheese and pecans, but the blackberries we picked Monday are going south fast and I'm afraid I'll barely have enough to make the cobbler.

Re: July Main Meals
Chicken breasts, bacon parmesan risotto, supposed-to-be-grilled-but-no- propane-so-broiled zucchini planks, and grilled-on-the-foreman-grill peaches. Nothing like finding out as you are cooking that the propane has run out and you planned two grilled dishes.

Re: July Main Meals
I keep forgetting I want to make cooked carrots! Must do that for lunch tomorrow!
We had pasta and meatballs tonight. Kind of boring. No veggies because I was cleaning and then rushed out the door after cooking. I miss my veggies!

Re: July Main Meals
We were at my BFF's house and she made Red Beans and Rice, which I had never had. It was a hit so it's definitely going in my rotation. http://www.food.com/recipe/crescent-...ock-pot-373619

Re: July Main Meals
Today we will have zoodles and squoodles (zucchini and squash "noodles") with meatballs and tomato sauce. If I have enough energy this afternoon I will make some garlic twists for hubby and son.
Tomorrow we will eat at the inlaws. Sunday. . . I don't think that far ahead these days.

Re: July Main Meals
Cheddar bbq burgers on the grill, corn on the cob, watermelon and smores!
Tomorrow my brother is smoking turkey and roast beef. All of my family will be together and I think we are also having watermelon, tossed salad and baked potatoes. Sunday I think my mom is making her homemade lasagna.

Re: July Main Meals
We had homemade sweet corn, roasted tomato, and goat cheese pizza. All the grown ups loved it! I made baked peaches and vanilla ice cream for dessert.
