Vega One?
Is this a yummy protein powder?
I have a powder I already love, from Thorne, but the shipping cost is outrageous. The Vega One seems fairly similar, so I thought I'd try it. Which flavor do you like?

Re: Vega One?
I've used it. The texture is good. I'm not a big fan of the vanilla flavor, I find it overpowering. I've also used amazing grass amazing meal original and I liked that flavor better, but the texture was gritty. I haven't looked to see if vega has an unflavored option...

Re: Vega One?
I've used 2 containers of Vega One berry flavor. I'm not sure I'd classify any powder as 'yummy' but I'd buy this again. I've only used it with water in a shaker bottle.

Re: Vega One?
I have the Vega One all in one French Vanilla. It's got the added greens and stuff. My kids like it, but only a quarter scoop per smoothie as it's kind of strong, flavour-wise.
The protein powder that has gone over the best here is Sun Warrior, it's more mild. My kids won't touch anything but vanilla or plain (no flavour). http://www.rawnutrition.ca/protein/s...nilla-1kg-swpv |

Re: Vega One?
Thanks for the input.
I went ahead and bought one vanilla and one chocolate. The ingredients/nutritional profile are very similar to my old powder, but the vega one has no sugar. My old powder has 4 or 5 grams of sugar, and was sweetened with evaporated cane juice. So, I think the vega one will be a bit better for me, but it is not "yummy". The Thorne powder Vanilla tastes like cake batter. The chocolate always made me think I was drinking a milkshake, even with all the greens I added. This is not like that at all, and it definitely feels like I am drinking a nutritional shake, but it tastes OK and is better than many I have tried. I feel good after I drink it, and that is what I am going for.

Re: Vega One?
I've used Vega powders before and they're fine, but I personally prefer Phood instead b/c it's better as a complete meal replacement if I'm in a hurry: http://www.amazon.com/Plant-Fusion-P.../dp/B00BGVME1K
I usually add a scoop of Greens First to it too: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0006L2XNK/...s=greens+first |

Re: Vega One?
I'm not a huge fan. I'm interested to know what you think.

Re: Vega One?
I was disappointed with Vega. I found it really gritty no matter how I made it. The flavor was ok and its ingredients are good but I couldn't get past the texture. My kids wouldn't drink it at all which is weird because they are less picky about shakes than I am.

I always make my shakes with a almond or coconut milk or water mix, some greens, the powder and blend that up, then either a frozen banana or some frozen berries, and some ice.
