Are Chinese 'woman' herbs (Dong Quai) safe?
I've been reading about this herb blend that Chinese doctors have been prescribing to pregnant women for centuries called "Dang Gui Shao Yao San". It's a Tang-kuei (or Dong quai) and Peony Formula. Particularly, it is supposed to help balance the immune system and help prevent miscarriage. (I'm beginning to suspect that my miscarriage was due to my immune system freaking out. I had a cold sore, followed by two nasty allergic responses.)
Does anyone know anything about these herbs and their safety?
