Anybody use Emergen-C???

We take extra Vit C etc but I just found out about Emergen-C. Is this something you take all the time or just when you are starting to get sick?

I just bought a big package a Whole Foods... not sure how best to use it though.

we take it occasionally..I think it i just vit c..so take as often as you need it. I know that Lucretia uses it too...

I'm an addict.

We get the kids version and the adult version in Strawberry.

It has a good amount of vitamins. I would say we go through at least a box a month. A few boxes if we are sick.

I think we have all been much healthier since we started to take it. I like that I can carry it around with me. It's like kool aid, but healthy. I usually keep it with us and then if the kids don't want water or I don't want water I can dump some in a water bottle.

I'm always giving it out to people, too. I don't know how many people I'm responsible for getting hooked on the stuff, but I wish I could get a little kick back

hehe..what is the difference between the kids and the adult version? dosage?

I think the only thing is the kids has 500 Vitamin C.

Have you tried it hot? If you do it hot just watch out...it volcanoes up on ya.

My mom gave me hot jello when I was sick

and this sort of reminds me of that.

I actually like it.

Dh & I both agree that 2 packets taste better than 1 though.

I grew up drinking alka seltzer though, that's probably why I like it... my dad thought he was addicted to alka seltzer at one point though!

DH seems to be coming down with something, I'm encouraging him to take it the next few days to work, a few packets...

We love it.
I used to drink it every day after a work out to aid recovery (don't need that so much anymore.

)
The kids drink it every day during sick season (the kid version)
Dh and I now drink it when we start to feel under the weather, need an energy boost, etc.
Read the labels, because depending on what flavor you get, the ingredients, vitamins, etc are different.
The strawberry has Vit A in it, also, as does the children's strawberry.
Too much of that can be a bad thing.
Many flavors do not.
It is also supposed to help your sodium/pottasium mineral balance stay where it needs to be, and help your body's metabolic function.

Too funny! I signed on to search this very topic and it's actually recent! lol I was wondering if anyone uses it regularly with noticable improvements for their allergies or other conditions besides colds/illness. I drink it nearly every day but wondered if it was like echinacea which should be used then stopped etc. I also give it to my ds.

It's my understanding that you can only absorb 1000 mg an hour of C. So, that's all I can think of. My boys aren't taking any other vitamins right now.
