small cut starting to become infected

what do you suggest? i have "bled" it which usually helps & i have washed it thouroughly several times. it itches like infection & is red & puffy.

Epsom salts in the soaking water is also good.

the salt water helped. It is still a little red, but nowhere near as bad & it no longer itches as much.

what does "neat tto or lavender" mean? I don't understand "neat" in that context. Unless you mean make sure I don't spill it.

It means straight or undiluted.

I had a chunk out of my knuckle last month that got infected. It was awful and I know a couple people that actually lost fingers or toes to infected cuts, so I was worried about staph. I tried TTO and some other things first, but finally just put betadine on it. (Am I allowed to suggest that here? Not natural I guess...is it? )

it's looking bad again this morning. The only thing I have here that is suggested is peroxide, I think I'll use that. Goodness, I haven't used peroxide for anything other than cleaning in forever.

Hydrogen peroxide or antibiotics at this point. You could try antibiotic ointment from the pharmacy but it's not very strong. There's a perscription cream that is more effective.

I don't mess with infection that goes on for long.

Two weeks ago, I had a finger that puffed up overnight to 2 x's it's size - as I had been on antibiotics this year for a kidney infection, I was very hesitant to get antibiotics/

So, I did master's tonic, inflameric, and GSE internally. I soaked it in epsom salt water and hydrogen peroxide. I applied bentonite clay and thieves oil between soaks on gauze. Mine wasn't a cut-- I still never figured out where it is coming from

and it is still somewhat there. I am fairly certain it was cellulitis and I was PLEASANTLY surprised that I was able to get the infection under control.

Actually typing this, made me realize that I need to do some more clay/thieves oil because while it's not hot or huge or painful, it's still "there" and I don't wantit to flare up. I have continued the master's tonic/GSE.

Here is what I would do. If you can add in any of the additional therapies I put in this postl,

Whatever you are doing, I would watch carefully and measure it, if it's not shrinking in the next 24 hours, I would get antibiotics.

My dh didn't and after 72 hours of trying to treat his infection naturally, he needed super strong antibiotics when it became cellulitis. He was also told he'd need surgery if it didn't get better

The only thing I have here that is suggested is peroxide, I think I'll use that. Goodness, I haven't used peroxide for anything other than cleaning in forever.
