Stiina, I LOVE your rug. It looks amazing.
I can't wait to try one...after I finish everything else I've started.

Wow, thanks!!! I definitely would not have described it as 'amazing' but it definitely does the job!!
We really have to make sure to hang it up to dry after DH's exuberant dripping sessions after showering. It was wet for 2 days - he showered, we were gone, and when we came home, it was STILL really damp!! LOL!! So now it actually spends most of its time hanging on the shower curtain rod, and he pulls it down before he decides to soak the place. I do not understand why he insists on jumping out of the shower immediately before even swiping one drip of water off of his body. Anyway...now I have a sweet rug to soak it all up! I want to see what everyone else comes up with! I've gotten distracted from my Mario Slider Rugs and am making a wee cute baby hat for my niece in Finland.

I'm baaaaa-aaak.
I finally finished that denim rug for my back stoop. LOVE it! It's super heavy duty and absorbs all the mud and water before it is on my floor! It took something like 7 pairs of jeans, ripped into 1-2 inch strips. The first time I washed/dried it I had to empty the lint trap and start the dryer again. ![]()

That's great. I bet your hands were sore from that heavy fabric!!!!!!!
I ended up throwing my rug out after 4 or 5 washes. It kept fraying and it looked so awful. I hope that doesn't happen to yours. (mine was flannel bed sheets)

Mandy that's great! I agree with Stiina your hands must be sore from ripping and then working with such heavy duty fabric. But boy will it wear like iron.
Hmmmm, DH just gave me like a dozen jeans that are too big on him and I was just going to drop off at goodwill. Wonder if I could do something with them . . .

My hands did get tired but it wasn't too bad.
I took turns ripping and cutting to change up the action so it was never too much.
