Default if you have re-mineralized your teeth

or healed tooth decay.. what do your teeth look like when they start or have healed/remineralized?

My dd has thin enamel on her 2 front teeth and white hypoplasia lines near the gum line of those 2 teeth. She has a small spot that the enamel came out of near the gum line. Her 2 back molars , the enamel is kinda mottled looking and had gritty surface. I am wondering what to look for as they remineralize/heal.

We are using FCLO/BO and MI paste as well as cell salts, extra vitamin cal/mag and no grains for her, very little sugar. I have heard mixed things, from the teeth turning black to yellow to white.. I really don't know what to look for. I "think" one of them that had a gritty surface doesn't feel so gritty anymore. I have googled it and I can't find much info. I have read so much info on "how" to heal them but how do I know when they are starting to heal?

bumping because we are doing fclo/bo, minimal grains/sugar, bentonite clay toothpaste, cal/mg... very curious to know "what" will constitute improvement

something I noticed is that the tooth that had a gritty texture now feels smoother...not sure if it is remineralizing or if the enamel is worn down to the point that it no longer feels gritty. It's a molar and the surface that had issues was the side. I looked and the spots are now kinda yellowish. I have no idea for sure if it's remineralizing but I am "hoping" so.
Just thought I'd report it since it is a change.

We are doing cell salts too. I was reading that they can really really help in a short amount of time. We've been doing the butter oil in addition to the FCLO now for about 3 weeks. Although the last few days have been hit or miss since DD is refusing to eat alot of foods because of her cold.

Question - does/did your DD have black tooth decay/cavities? Mine has yellowish brown with worn enamel. I've always known cavities to be black...it threw me off for a long time since her teeth weren't black.

no hers were never black either. either slightly yellow brown OR just enamel that kept disappearing. Her two lateral front inciser just kept getting shorter and then the enamel was disappearing and I could see the dentin underneath. She did have one small cavity in a molar in the back but even that was not black, it looked kinda pinkish brown, from what I could see. It was hard to see since it was in the back.

My dds are getting white spots with shinier finish.......... the less grittiness also be less plaque buildup? Plaque can feel kind of rough while a healthier surface feels mor "shiny" and smooth

I don't think it's less plaque because the dentist actually is the one that noted the gritty texture. I can't remember the word he used. It was like demineralized or something. It was like the enamel had a swiss cheese look/feel to it, but not very deep. Does that make sense? now those indentations are yellow and smoother. I HOPE they don't have plaque in them!

You are describing baby teeth, yes? They wear out fast, especially is the child is a tooth grinder. Simon's dentin is showing through all over the place, and it means his biting surfaces are yellow, where he has worn away the enamel. It isn't considered a problem, in baby teeth, or an indicator of trouble with the adult teeth to come.
