This sounds very typical for juvenile arthritis. I hope you have a good pediatrician to help you have him evaluated. Pediatric rheumatologists are rare in some geographic areas, but this is the specialist who evaluates and treats juvenile arthritis and other autoimmune diseases.

Multiple joint involvement especially including the hands is not suggestive of Lyme which usually attacks single large joints. Your pediatrician should not blow this off.
