Cracked heels
So... I thought only people with thick dry crusty skin on their feet got cracked heels. Well... apparently I can get them too. I intend to go out and get some of that cracked heel stuff from the store later... but wanted to know... how do I prevent this from happening again?
I thought I had nice feet. I regularily sluff off the skin with one of those board things so my heels look nice. But then, about two weeks my heel cracked. I freaked out and sluffed off the skin so much that a baby would have been jealous of my feet... turned out... that wasn't nice for walking and even standing on a bath towel was ouchie. So... trying not to be so extreme this time... but a little at the thought that I have a cracked heel. By the way... I don't really like feet. |

Re: Cracked heels
Cracked heels and toes are often a sign of yeast overgrowth.

Re: Cracked heels
How would I know if I have a yeast overgrowth? I've never had any sort of yeast problem before and wouldn't know what to look for.

Re: Cracked heels
It may not be as natural as you want, but I love Gold Bond Foot Cream. it smells awesome and works great.

Re: Cracked heels
I'm not sure they have Gold Bond over here since I haven't heard anything about it since I lived in Canada.
At the moment I went out and bought the Dr Sholls heel repair but I plan on using something else long term. I read that coconut oil is good except I've used coconut oil loads before and it doesn't seem to work on anything other than really soft skin for me. |
