It sounds like a geat plan just would try to get the DE or clay in somehow to sweep candida and toxins heal the gut and make detoxing not so hard on him wonder if you could do a few days of the nutrients and then a day of DE or clay or every other day but the it is still hard to time around food.Would def do the chlorella or chlophyll (which is what chlorella is chock full of)to flush toxins and nourish

Okay, here's what I'm thinking for now:

Antifungals (GSE, what is this?? garlic, ACV, and coconut oil) in the morning just after breakfast. I can't make him take anything before breakfast because he wakes up hungry and wants to eat ASAP.

Other supplements (Multi, Vit C, Vit B, MTHF and this????, CoQ10, cod liver oil, zinc) at lunch.

Probiotics (Fivelac, Biokult, and kombucha) and Cal/Mag at bedtime.

I've also been giving him HCL and this????? and digestive enzymes, which I'm guessing are okay to keep doing with each meal?

I'd like to find a time to do DE and this????, too, but I don't know when that would be. Oh. I have chlorella, too. I guess I can do that at lunch?
I still have yeast!!! It's EXTREMELY frustrating. I had some sugar and now I've become addicted to it again. I need to break this stupid cycle already!!!!

what a fascinating conversation..

im pretty sure that i dont exactly have 'gluten intolerance' per se

i suspect that gluteny stuff causes yeast over growth in me and gives me all the gas like, to the point of cramps in my intestines that i've gone to the ER for

getting off gluten eliminated my seasonal allergies too..

when i eat gluten now, i get itchy eyes, headache, gas..

i take http://pureformulas.com/candistatin-...siologics.html everyday..drink ton-loads of kombucha

*anyway** my question..

how do you all know without a doubt that its yeast? i always just suspected..

either. you can buy one..grow a scoby with it, and then start making your own. we even have a Kombucha 101 thread you can participate in

it would be expensive to keep buying KT as often as needed to be theraputic

It was getting a little better, and then he had a handful of pumpkin seeds and he is acting CRAZY drunk, sleeping worse, and has regressed developmentally.

There has GOT to be something I'm missing. Something else I could do. This is INSANE. I can't take the wild drunkenness. I have no patience with him when he is like this. It drives me bonkers.

For an update since I posted my plan:
We wound up stopping ALL supplements (except melatonin, without which he would never fall asleep at night before 1am) for about a week because he was NOT sleeping at night and it was miserable and crazy-making. We added back his B-vitamins first, because they make a very real difference in his cognitive functioning, and those also have the MTHF in them.

We've slowly added more, and he's basically taking everything now except the anti-fungals (but not the multi or zinc because I realized they had sweeteners in them ). I think it may have been the Paragone that was messing with his sleep so much. The sleeplessness started about the same time we started it.

I know that metals need to be addressed, and they will be, but not until we can get in to see the DAN Dr. in January.

My natural health place has helped autistic children with targeted minerals. First step is a hair mineral analysis. Is a hair analysis something you'd consider?

Connie,
Not really, because I'm not convinced that they are helpful. They only show what is coming out of the body, not what is in it. Our DAN Dr. said they tested a bunch of autistic and NT kids, and the NT kids actually had way more metals in their hair than the autistic kids, because they NT kids' bodies are able to expel the metals, whereas the autistic kids' bodies just hold onto them.

That is my concern as well. This may not be yeast at all. Has he seen a GI?

No... He's on really good insurance now, so money wouldn't be an issue, but life has been so crazy lately that I just haven't had time to look into it. Kind of like how he needs to be seeing a speech therapist, and it's written into our assistance budget, but there just aren't enough hours in the day...

So you think a GI specialist would be the one you would seek out to find out if there is a different issue?

I would see a GI and an allergist, if he is passing undigested food, and reacting strangely immediately after eating certain foods.

I tried to take him to get allergy tested once, and they were all like, "If he's not having problems with allergies, then why are you here?" They made me feel stupid enough, and he was in a bad enough mood, that I just left.

In our experience, it has been difficult to find competent allergists.
