Ultra Filtered Milk
The nutrition profile for the Ultra filtered milk (vows milk) looks amazing. I can see the high protein and less sugar be super helpful to my milk drinking child. I don't know much about it or how it is made. Is something done to it or added to it that would make it undesirable? I don't typically like to get extremely modified foods/drinks, but right now, we just buy conventional dairy milk that is homogenized and pasteurized. We drink milk alternatives, too, but I am thinking of the benefit of adding a boost to my picky eaters' diet and being able to make a quick, running out the door breakfast that us normally low protein more balanced.
Anyone know much about this? |
Re: Ultra Filtered Milk
Milk protein is not really very good for you and has some concerning factors. IGF-1 is one of the proteins in milk that is very concerning to me that one would not want to be taking in more of (especially children).
I think you'd be better off making a smoothie in the mornings. |
