March Meals
I'm having a hard time believing it's March already, but here it is!
I'm trying a new recipe tonight: Caramelized onion and blue cheese portobello mushroom burgers with fries. |
Re: March Meals
That sounds yummy. I am allergic to mushrooms, but I love them.
I am making a jambalaya type dish for Fat Tuesday tonight. I listed all my dinners for the month last night. I just have to assign days to some of them. |
Re: March Meals
:cup - yesterday was shrimp pasta, today is leftovers or fend for yourself. Have run after work, followed by pick up ds at the track and bring him to soccer. Dh will pick up dd and bring her home and then she will carpool to soccer. busy busy

Re: March Meals
I made tomato soup and garlic bread tonight. It was good. Since I am gf, I put gf noodles in my soup instead of eating the bread.

Re: March Meals
We had salmon salad with celery and apples.
And chicken legs in air fryer. Delicious. |
Re: March Meals
What do y'all do for lunches, both for at home and for when you have to be out? I feel like I am getting stuck on lunches.

Re: March Meals
We are having slow cooked chicken and vegetables.
Thanks for starting this new thread Charla.....in the midst of bad rain and flooding here and so haven't been on. Thankfully we are safe but very very wet! |

We really like snack-y lunches (cheese, crackers, a fruit and some raw veggies, olives or pickles, then whatever else I can put out, like hummus or boiled or deviled eggs if I have made them.) There are so many good gluten free crackers now. But, we can't eat that every day or people will get tired of it. |
Re: March Meals
We had chicken breast with mushrooms and peas served over rice. It was supposed to be quinoa but I was out.
We mostly do leftovers, sandwiches, or snack plate type lunches. Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk |
Re: March Meals
We had pancakes and breakfast sausages for dinner tonight (Shrove Tuesday).

When we have to be out, some combination of pb&j, cold pizza, fruit, vegetables, crackers and cheese, pretzels and hummus, jars of Chia pudding or yogurt parfaits, or naan with guacamole. |

3Thai with peanut dressing salads- chick peas, frozen peas, broccoli, bell pepper, carrot, red cabbage 3 taco salads- stir fry veggies, black beans, frozen corn, cauliflower rice, tomato. Then I always have a quick lunch. |
Re: March Meals
I think frozen ravioli pasta.
Its slightly less busy - dd has track until 630 but no soccer, ds has no track but soccer and we leave at 4:50 to start picking up boys bc Im driving the carpool. So itll be eat on your own but can cook the ravioli at the time and have salads premade. |
Re: March Meals
Last night we had wild caught sockeye salmon. Air fries potatoes (french fries). Roasted asparagus.
Not sure what I'll cook tonight. :think I should decide soon. As per the lunch question - I keep lunches simple. When they kids were younger and all home at lunch we did sandwiches, nachos, veggies and dip, leftovers from the previous dinner, things like that. Now that they're older (youngest is 13). they're either at school/work for lunch or they fend for themselves at home. :shifty I keep lots of easy make things on hand (mac and cheese, frozen chicken nuggets, taco shells and cheese for quesadillas, pasta and sauce, eggs, bread, etc.). |
