I've never tried or heard of it, but we love the Natural Factors brand chewable Vitamin C. I was interested in this product until I got to the GSE at the bottom of the ingredient list...I tend to avoid internal GSE, especially for my dc. Do you need a non-chewable kids multi? I haven't found one my kids beg for (besides gummy vitas which are pretty inferior IME), but they will tolerate Rainbow Light Nutristars. :)

Rene, I just had a humongo flashback about you coming to this area and not responding to your PM yet :doh :shifty :bag - I'm PM'ing you right now! :hug

No, I dont need a non-chewable (that I know of). They take the NOW brand kids vits, and I just bought some chewable Vit C for the whole family (not kid specific cuz regular was way cheaper and the same dosage). I just saw the Learning Factors product and wondered if it would be very beneficial as sumthin to add to smoothies.

Mine are:
Yogurt
Calcium bentonite clay
Oranges
Blueberries
Garlic
Onion
Oregano
Olive oil
Apple cider vinegar
Honey
Clo when I can't buy enough organic free range meats.

We had to move away from supplements because there are few we aren't sensitive to. Over the years we do just as good if not better without them now.

Wow, that's so much to digest! Can you give me 2-3 active steps to start with? :giggle

I have been doing oregano oil, echinacea/goldenseal, and grapefruit seed extract in OJ with Vit c. works really well. tastes horrible.

Re: My cold/flu season secret weapons, please share yours!

:giggle I didnt mean we take them all at once :P~

Yogurt-we eat some daily keep lots of good flora so any virus will be quickly eliminated before it has a chance to really make us sick

Calcium bentonite clay-also helps the gut stay balanced and absorbs negative charged things such as viruses. we use to take clay daily but i cant take clay right now so its just easier for me to feed everyone yogurt at the same time.
But even if we dont take it daily at first sign of a cold, like a sore throat we take a clay bath and/or drink a little. Of anything on my list clay is the absolute best thing for stomach problems even if it accompanied by being sick (it will stop nausea, vomiting, diareah within an hour!)

Oranges-eat fresh oranges for a sore throat

Blueberries-frozen when you have a fever or anyway to help calm the stomach and remove the virus

Garlic-all three in a soup is great when sick, good decongestant along with saline spray or netti pot
Onion
Oregano

Olive oil-for ears and stomach

Apple cider vinegar-sickness associated with stomach pains or bloating that any of the other things dont take away that day

Honey-for a sore throat, a squeeze of fresh lime juice or lemon added to break up any phlem

Clo when I can't buy enough organic free range meats.

Oh I forgot, when nothing above makes a difference in 2 days I go straight for the occilloccinum just in case its the flu.
With a family of 6 i just cant afford to pay a $20 copayment for each of us should we get sick. Thank goodness the above has worked for us and off the top of my head i can only think of one time where i had to take one of our kids in for a cold that only she couldnt shake. Turns out it was the flu and she was sent home to just keep doing what we were doing. On top of our large family we all have pretty bad allergies that leave our bodies a bit weak through flu season, hence the clo or good fats.

One last thing i forgot was my homemade electrolyte. I posted the recipe here somewhere. I still use it, only i make it with coconut water when i can find some.
