here is a great example of how the right remedy can make all the difference. i have used aspen and mimulus for c for years with some positive effect but not nearly what i would hope. one day in the home improvement store he dropped a paint can. later i asked if he was embarrassed, thinking this would be a good opportunity to clarify what embarrassed means because he uses that word not appropriately. he said "no, i wasn't embarrassed, i thought they would kill me. :( but also :idea Green rose= fear of annihilation. HUGE difference in anxiety when I started using that for him. :heart

Thanks great list! Going to print so I can mark on it. Have been trying some of these with DD1 lately. I think it is helping with some things but not 100% sure yet.

Starfox 01-13-2013 12:21 PM

When looking for ones to use, do you focus more on the out of balance and then be "oh! That's me!" Or more on the what it does for you? Being who I am, I see possibilities in all of them helping, but I don't know how to pick the ones for what I really need.

Re: Flower Remedies
I focus on the out of balance - because typically if I need them, I currently am out of balance and hoping to regain the positive qualities.

Re: Flower Remedies
We have been using flower remedies to help us transition continents this year. I cannot say enough about their helpfulness. We all took Walnut fairly intensively during our first weeks back and I could tell an immediate difference in my ability to process our transition and not feel paralyzed. Thank you for this list! :heart

Re: Flower Remedies
Thank you for sharing your cheat sheet! :rockon In terms of how you take them: Do you just follow the instructions on the bottle for taking them? If you are taking more than one, can you blend them *in* something to take them? Are there contraindications? I would like to work on making blends for me and my loved ones. :)

Re: Flower Remedies
You can put them in anything you want or take straight. you can put them ON children who don't want to take them. I usually muscle test and make a new bottle for c every 3 days or so. To see a good effect, word has it you want to use at least 4 times a day. there are no interactions at all.

It's a way of determining which things are helpful or not helpful to the body.

Re: Flower Remedies
:heart :heart thank you for starting this :grin

I've been using flower remedies since 2006 on myself and my family members. i first became interested when treating a foster child of mine and not being able to cut through the red tape to get her effective treatment from the mainstream medicine.

i've been making my own for a while too :)

once, i had someone introduce me as "the one who talks to flowers... and they answer!" :lol and he was only half-joking

i love flower remedies. :yes if you are getting very excited, i don't want to cool your enthusiasm, but i do want to say that they are not all-powerful, and if you, or someone else is experiencing a true health crisis, go get emergency help (tuck the bottles of remedies in your pocket and bring them along) :hugheart

to begin, start by identifying what is the ONE thing you need help with the most. pray.
then decide if there are other things that go right along withe ONE thing. usually, there are ;) you may choose to use one to five remedies at a time.

take them as often as you feel you need them. stop when you feel you are "done" or when you forget to take them on a regular basis.

some have used the "kitchen sink" approach, but it seldom works :)

while it's extremely unlikely to have an adverse or an allergic reaction, remember, anything is possible.

emotional and spiritual crises of healing are common.

peace :heartflower

Ok, I've tried three times now but I can't read that list. I am way too impatient to read the whole thing and it makes my eyes buggy and sore. Would someone experienced want to help me out to see what would be good for me to take regarding my headaches?

Wow, that is an amazing list! Thank you!

Re: Flower Remedies
How long before you start noticing a change with FR?

sweetpeasmommy 02-09-2013 12:44 PM

I notice right away to 3 days. I am sure some take longer and I have kept giving long term and seen that work too even when no immediate results were seen. I personally use a "kitchen sink" approach and have seen amazing results even if I am not doing it correctly.:thumbsup

inesperada 02-09-2013 01:21 PM

Re: Flower Remedies
When I *very clearly* have the right remedy, I notice an immediate change. If the issue is smaller and/or more complex, it may take a while longer for me. :think

Re: Flower Remedies
what is the kitchen sink method?

sweetpeasmommy 02-09-2013 10:17 PM

Re: Flower Remedies
kitchen sink= using more than the suggested 3-5 at a time. It would be hard to say what would help your headaches without a lot of info.

Stiina 02-10-2013 07:40 AM

Re: Flower Remedies
I know; that's what I meant when I asked if someone wanted to help me out and work with me. :bag I would give all the details that are pertinent :o I know it's a big ask, but if someone wanted to be I would be ever so grateful. :heart

(thx for clarification on the kitchen sink method :) )

Re: Flower Remedies
I ordered Agrimony, Baby blue eyes and pine to help someone with high levels of anxiety and addictive behavior stemming from childhood emotional neglect and abuse. Thoughts?

sweetpeasmommy 08-11-2013 11:05 AM

Sounds good. It's hard to know what would help someone else. A lot of people are very helped by gorse for hopelessness. I am not and very much a wild rose kinda gal. :shrug

Re: Flower Remedies
I have gotten several of these for various things for each of my children but I never feel like they really DO anything i.e. I don't notice any difference in mood or behavior. I have tried giving some directly a couple of times a day and adding a larger amount to a water bottle and having them sip on it throughout the day. Does that sound reasonable? I wish there was a way to try them out other then to keep buying them and buying them.
