We have the Circle by Disney and we love it. We went with the old now discontinued (but you can still purchase it through some places) 1st generation because it's a one time purchase with no annual fee. The downside of the 1st generation is that it only offers protection to devices while on our router. I believe the later versions have the feature that you can protect devices when they're out of the home.

I love it so much. I can set time limits, allow and disallow certain apps and can make the settings unique to each child. I can have off times and bedtimes.

An added benefit is that I can pause the internet with one button either for the whole household or just one child. I've used it before when a child isn't listening.

You'd be amazed at how quickly I get their full attention once their internet gets cut off.
