Ok, it's not exactly a secret, but it's a great cooking sauce, easy, tasty and cheap. Both of my sons had their wives ask me what sauce I use to cook chicken and I was happy to tell them.
All it is a mix of ketchup, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. The proportions don't matter, you make it to taste. Use more ketchup if you like a sweeter sauce. Then add some chicken bullion powder, like
Knorr or salt.
One DIL mixes it in a bowl and pours it over chicken thighs and bakes them. The other DIL puts her chicken in a crock pot bag, squirts in the sauces and mixes in the bag before putting it in the crockpot. I put the chicken in a saucepan, add the Knorr, squirt the ketchup, mustard and Worcestershire sauce and mix it as I cook. It doesn't matter. And as I don't measure proportions, it's never the same twice.
