Re: Thoughts on Speed Reading Course
Speed reading is a skill that if learned isn't often used all the time in reading. Once learned it has a place in the person's reading life and it's not always going to take precedence. But it might give the student a tool to use to help him get through books that he's really struggling with so that he can study and get through college. Part of speed reading is the requirement to actually comprehend the subject matter and be able to intelligently discuss it immediately after.
I've never done it myself but I do believe that if you have the opportunity and the interest that is a skill worth at least attempting to acquire.
