I just plain old dont like the cradle position. I only tried it for nursing and was so all over the place I just gave up.
But ds spent the better portion of his babyhood in a tummy to tummy snuggle in the ring sling
It only made me nervous in the first few weeks when he was soooo bitty and it was all new to me. I was pretty obsessive about making sure he wasn't tucked in on himself.
Definitely, though, by the time he was 3 months, his head rested all the way up out of the sling where he could look around, and if he fell asleep (which was all the time), it was with his head angled so his face was looking up towards me and flopped on my chest. It was so easy to see his airway and know he was breathing.
